17 Sep A Short Story: Win.
*This story is entirely a work of fiction.*
I said:
Shorty, you know how I’ve been busy window-shopping for the cheapest ring that I could find…
She said:
(Smiles)
Avi… you already used that line on me, I’m still over here waiting.
I said:
Darling, for what is love without the sacrifice of time? Patience that endures the dangerous pressures of what has been experienced, what is being experienced and what is to be experienced only can create the heavenly escape, the fortitude, a foundation for ever-lasting love.
She said:
(Smiles and laughs)
Okay, Shakespeare. Do you just write words or do you know what they mean?
I said:
(Smiles)
Yeah, I know what they mean, but they mean more when I say them to you, don’t they?
She said:
I guess you are kind of handsome… in a rugged way.
I said:
I’d rather be ruggedly handsome than perfect. I often underline my feelings rather than decant them with the façade of an illusive smile.
She said:
What do you think you’re William Shakespeare now or whatever?
I said:
I place a four-leaf clover upon your ear, so you’re lucky enough to hear my voice every morning.
She said:
(Startled)
So, I’m the lucky one? I think you’ve got that mixed up…
I said:
(Whispers in a deep tone of voice)
Spoken softly… yield… the blood within the veins into their proper arrangement… arousal of the amused.
She said:
(Blushes)
You do realize when you speak like that you open yourself up for people to attack you, right?
I said:
Why is that?
She said:
Because you’re unapologetically sweet and sensitive…
I said:
Eh… let people say what they want and I say what I want. If the eyes of a beholder hold no boundaries, then neither do I… my eyes see what they like and then I speak from my soul.
She said:
(Eyes are closed)
I like that line.
I said:
Are you interested in a voyage, a tale of history to only be remembered, but to never be seen again? This is as unique as the dimple upon your cheeks, when I get you smiling right… I like that smile you have, let me grab some new words from the poet tree and let the story begin…
She said:
I need to know exactly how long I have to wait.
I said:
It could be a few months, could be a couple years or it could be an eternity; it just depends upon how quickly my gift can permeate into mass appeal.
She said:
You have the skills to achieve that, take your time with your art and make it happen.
I said:
Skills that are forced are no better than the awkwardness of a weapon; I neglect the urge for that type of accolade, achievement. I wholly trust that the equation will be solved at the necessary time.
She said:
People like to take every single word you say or write and change the context… so maybe you shouldn’t speak to abstract and poetically…
I said:
(Smiles and laughs)
I’m not speaking to them; I’m speaking to you. And there is no competitor, if I don’t want there to be, does that make sense?
She said:
(Blushes)
I do understand… that’s what I don’t get about you… hurry up!
I said:
I think I’m more or less waiting to see if YOU can handle the type of hate and rumors people create about me… because eventually it’ll be burdensome to you also.
She said:
(Speaks sincerely)
I don’t care about that stuff.
I said:
So what do you care about?
She said:
You’re the most unique and interesting man in the entire world… that’s why you’re fucked up. I could never replace you or find someone that is even remotely close to having the type of swag… charm and compassion you have. That’s why you’re fucked up.
I said:
(Smiles and laughs)
Damn shorty, you just over there giving me compliments like that I feel like I should probably give you one…
She said:
Yeah… you should.
I said:
Shorty, you are insanely beautiful, you could have any man that you wanted in the entire world, most of which are probably better looking then me, however you remain promiscuously fond of me, which I find interesting, so you should know that the sincerity of your endeavors and spirit is what I first saw from your beauty…. And then I looked at you and said god damn this girl is gorgeous.
She said:
(Laughs and blushes)
See. That’s the swag and charm I’m talking about.
I said:
We’re going to be printing our own money soon… believe that.
She said:
You need to stop playing and start playing, if you know what I mean.
I said:
Okay
