A Short Story: Sound.

*This story is entirely a work of fiction.*

I said:

Why you wasn’t even sending me any corny jokes to laugh at recently?

She said:

Why don’t you still know how to speak English correctly?

I said:

Woman, you know how I used that Amazon Gift Card to purchase that Rosetta Stone real good.

She said:

(Laughs)

That was clever, but cheesy.

I said:

I was seeing you cheesing over there, looking 24 years old again.

She said:

(Smiles and blushes)

You know you’re not supposed to ask a woman her age like that.

I said:

Since when was you a super model?

She said:

Oh you know, I dabble from time to time.

I said:

I see you trying to stay hip… dabbing and whatnot. Shorty, since when was you good at dancing?

She said:

(Laughs)

I was dancing to that last song you made, actually.

I said:

You liked that song?

She said:

Yeah… it was actually decent.

I said:

What kind of song do you want?

She said:

Are you asking me to be in one of your song ‘movies’?”

I said:

Yeah… how much it is?

She said:

(Laughs)

Very expensive.

I said:

Shorty, why are you raising your prices on me all of a sudden? I’m asking you because you act real. You a real actress, a real good actress.

She said:

(Rolls her eyes)

Only if you use words from some stuff you’ve written a real long time ago…

I said:

Eh… I don’t know. That’s asking for a lot.

She said:

Fine. Find someone else then.

I said:

Okay so here is the line that I need you to say with the electricity of your heartbeat: “Provocative eyes appear deceiving until deciphered correctly.”

She said:

(Smiles)

I like that line. When do you need it?

I said:

Tomorrow.

She said:

What the hell? Avi, that doesn’t really give me much time to prepare.

I said:

She has a smile that is never worrisome, a beacon of positive energy. Her eyes are too beautiful to stare at for too long… her laugh is contagious, volume through the purity of her soul and…

She said:

(Blushes and smiles)

Okay, okay, Jesus, Avi… you just going to sing that to me like that right now? I’ll have it for you tomorrow.
