A Short Story: Evening.

*This story is entirely a work of fiction.*

She said:

Long time no see…

I said:

Yeah it has been a while…

She said:

So… are you a worldwide phenomenon yet?

I said:

Yeah, just not making any money yet. Isn’t that strange?

She said:

(Laughs)

After your last song I can see a lot of people weeping and moaning.

I said:

(Smiles)

Well then I did my job… I drew the foul.

She said:

Yeah you did.

I said:

Well that’s what weeping is… it’s a different kind of laugh. It’s not really a laugh; it’s more like an exhaust.

She said:

I’m glad that I’ve known you from the beginning.

I said:

Yeah I appreciate you. I appreciate people that have met me and know the man that I am.

She said:

(Blushes)

You’re one of the nicest boys that I’ve ever met.

I said:

You know once I make some money I’ve got some for you shorty.

She said:

Why didn’t you text me last time you were in Los Angeles?

I said:

Because I didn’t know you still lived in California.

She said:

Are you still writing poems or only making music?

I said:

I’m still writing whatever I can, whenever I can. I mean the definition of RAP is Rhyme/Rhythm and Poetry… so, you know. I’m trying to write poetry and then figure out how to give it rhythm.

She said:

(Smiles)

Can you write me a poem?

I said:

Yes… of course;

She has kind eyes, the kind of eyes that are soothing to look at,

She has a smile that could stop time,

Let’s live in the moment.

Don’t you think?

Her soul spoke eclectically electric, one that I’ve always been fond of listening to.

The evening’s light started to dim and I took her hand,

Instantly a chemical romance intermingled and the pheromones between us were recognized from paths we previously walked, together, before.

The night’s skyline turned to slides of various pieces of art,

Traced as the constellations of the stars,

In that moment, every world existed simultaneously,

We walked along the paradigm,

It was a fine line, but we didn’t mind,

Fear was absent that evening,

I kissed her on the lips while feeling on her hips,

Controlling her pulse into a euphoric state.

That’s what I’ve got so far, what do you think?

She said:

(Smiles and blushes)

Oh my god, Avi… you’re just going to read that to me like that? You’re even better than you were before…

I said:

You know that I’ve got the words that keep you smiling.
