A Short Story: Entertainment.

*This story is entirely a work of fiction.*

I said:

Shorty, why was you getting sassy with me over a crossword puzzle like that?

She said:

(Laughs)

I’m just good at crossword puzzles, what can I say?

I said:

I was trying to think of the right line to approach you with.

She said:

That was funny, but not a very good line – I expected better from you…

I said:

(Smiles)

Anyways, I was wondering if you had any interest in being in one of my music movies?

She said:

Depends on what type of character you need me to play…

I said:

“Sexy love”, that’s the line that I need you to say with the electricity of your heartbeat… it’s a simple line, but I need you to have that sexy/sassy electricity.

She said:

When do you need it?

I said:

Tonight.

She said:

I don’t know… let me think about it. From what it looks like, the songs you’re making right now are just practice, not even for your album yet…

I said:

Yeah, but you never know. Plus, got to practice before I can put together an epic album.

She said:

Yeah that’s true… like I said, let me think about it.

I said:

One day this girl posted a photo and I got lost in her eyes, like a maze that I never wanted to leave… her subtle sass finds a way to showcase through her stunning smile… I never seen a girl say so much without saying much at all and –

She said:

Okay Avi, I’ll give it a try… I’m trusting you, so…

I said:

Well, that’s all I really want. Is for people that decide to work with me, to trust me. It’s art at the end of the day, it’s entertainment at the end of the day, it’s story-telling at the end of the day… playing characters.

She said:

(Smiles)

I understand that, just make sure its good.

I said:

Hasn’t most of the practice stuff I’ve been posting been decently good?

She said:

Yeah.

I said:

Thank you. All right, so remember that line, focus on that line and let’s see what happens.

She said:

I’ll try… you don’t have any other lyrics written? Or even know what kind of story you’re going to tell?

I said:

No… like I said, my songs/stories are all made from scratch from the start of every studio session. And how do you expect me to write lyrics if I don’t have the sound of your heartbeat?

She said:

I don’t know? You always boast how you’re so good at doing stuff a capella…

I said:

I never said that.

She said:

Okay… don’t fuck this up.
